09/28/08Sunday  | AIDS Walk San DiegoNow in its 19th year, AIDS Walk San Diego is San Diego's largest one-day HIV/AIDS fundraiser and the biggest non-governmental financial provider for HIV/AIDS in San Diego County. Dozens of agencies - serving thousands of clients - rely on funds raised at the annual Walk to help provide essential prevention and care programs to thousands of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS. This year, more than 12,000 people are expected to gather in Balboa Park on Sun., Sept. 28 to carry on the AIDS Walk tradition in San Diego. Want to get involved? 10/11/08Saturday .png&w=100) | The San Diego LGBT Community Center Annual GalaJoin us to celebrate The Center' 35th Anniversary of providing programs and services to the San Diego LGBT community at the magnificent Paradise Point Resort & Spa in Mission Bay. Over 800 community members, are expected to attend this black tie affiar! All guests will enjoy a fabulous silent auction, live entertainment and dancing and an awards ceremony honoring community leaders who have made positive, lasting impacts in greater San Diego. Cocktail Hour & Silent Auction will run from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Dinner & Dancing begin 7:00pm to 11:00pm. Funds raised from the Gala are used to sustain an array of programs, services and activities that serve San Diego’s diverse LGBT communities including: youth, working-age adults, seniors and families. 10/25/08Saturday  | Nightmare on Normal StreetCome see how Hillcrest celebrates Halloween at The Center's annual block party event on the 3900th block of Normal Street between University Aveenue and Blaine Street. This 21+ event will celebrate the diversity of our community and raise funds for The Center's programs and services! They'll be live entertainment, a DJ, beer and vodka bars, and our legendary costume contest with over $1000 in prizes awarded to our winners. The entrance fee is only $5- so, make this community block party your first stop on you pre-Halloween night out! |

04/30/09Thursday  | Dining Out for Life®On Thursday, April 30, 2009, more than 80 restaurants and bars in San Diego will donate a minimum of 25% of their sales to The Center's HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs.
