AFC Bears is a social group in San Diego, California that was started in June of 2001 as a way of bringing masculine, furry men (and their friends) together for a variety of social activities. The emphasis of this group will always be on having a good time. There are no officers, no dues, and the only thing you have to do to join is "Show Up, Take Part, and Have Fun".Activities include weekly volleyball games every Saturday in Balboa Park, trips to the movies, camping, hiking, paintball, yoga and meditation nights, Padres and Charger Games, BBQs, Pool parties, bonfires, bear bingo, and many others!

Bears San Diego is a club for bears and bear fanciers. Based in San Diego, California but has members throughout the United States and even a few from overseas. Bears San Diego was established in San Diego in October 1994 when a need was recognized for a group who admired hairy men. Within the first year, the club grew to 100 members. Bears San Diego's purpose is to bring together men of like minds on a social basis, providing bar nights at a local bar, den night at members homes, outings to movies, restaurants, the zoo and parties with other Bear Clubs.

The San Diego Chapter of the Butch/FtM-Femme Network sponsors occasional social gatherings in the San Diego and Los Angeles areas. The Femme-Butch/FtM Network is a national organization, created to foster a greater sense of friendship and support among Femmes and Butches in local communities, and to create a greater understanding of Femme-Butch relationships and identities. The California Men's Gathering (CMG) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that produces extended weekend retreats called "Gatherings." Held three times a year at summer camps in northern and southern California, each Gathering brings together 100 to 300 men for fun activities and serious personal development work. They are ideal places to try new things, be a kid again, make new friends, reconnect with old friends, and grow as people. The Gatherings provide a safe, supportive, empowering environment for building community, healing past wounds, challenging old limitations, taking new risks, expanding consciousness, and exploring fresh ways of looking at life.

The men who attend our Gatherings and monthly social events in San Diego are a diverse group of men of varying ages, beliefs, traditions, and spiritual practices. We have differently-abled men and men from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. CMG attendees are predominantly gay and bisexual, but all men 18 years or older are welcome, including those who are transgender or straight.

Youth Assistance Organization (YAO or YOUTH.ORG) is a service run by volunteers, created to help self-identifying gay, lesbian, bisexual and questioning youth. YAO exists to provide young people with a safe space online to be themselves.
