AFCSL is the only San Diego league affiliated the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance, and of course everyone is welcome to play regardless of their sexual orientation. Players are registered with NAGAAA, and each year a select group of AFCSL teams and players represent San Diego in the Gay Softball World Series.

A social group for lesbian and gay walkers/runners and their friends. Meets Monday and Wednesday at 6:00pm and Saturday at 8:00am at the south east corner of Laurel and 6th Ave in Balboa Park. Runners and walkers of all ages, gender, and athletic ability are welcome and invited to join us for our weekly fun runs and walks. We have over 200 members ranging in age from 23 to 72, about 40 percent of our members are women.

The San Diego Surfers Women's Rugby Club is the only women's rugby club in San Diego. We originated in January 1975. We have had the honor to play an exhibition game during the halftime of a San Diego Chargers professional football game and have appeared on the Channel 8 news coverage twice, promoting women's rugby in San Diego.
