The Hillcrest Wind Ensemble is one of the premier adult performance groups of Southern California, providing all citizens of Greater San Diego access to fine instrumental music from classical to pop to jazz for over 20 years. We perform three to four concerts yearly, as well as Twilight in the Park at the Balboa Park Organ Pavilion and sometimes at festivals which feature adult community concert bands and wind ensembles. We occasionally put together smaller groups and ensembles for special occasions or just for fun, including a 17-piece jazz band and a Dixieland group. This program is targeted towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender musicians, but all members of the San Diego Community at large are more than welcome. Musicians interested in joining should be over 18 years of age and proficient on their instrument to an advanced high school or college level. Positions for needed musicians are posted on the bulletin board at The Center, or on our website. Rehearsal Schedule Rehearsals are every Monday evening, from 7 pm (downbeat) to 9:30 pm at Mission Hills United Church of Christ, 4070 Jackdaw Street, in the Mission Hills area of San Diego. Our concert season is from early September to late July or early August, taking the month of August off. For more information, visit our website at www.hillcrestwindensemble.com , or contact:
