Tanya is a transgender nonbinary youth who was able to find shelter at The Centers’ Safe STAY program.

The Center’s staff spent time with Tanya to help her prioritize short-term goals, using trauma-informed care and sharing their passion for social justice.

As a trans person of color, Tanya discussed their safety concerns with The Center’s team, and has expressed gratitude that they have been constantly available to her for guidance.
