50+ and Better Together Senior Services at The Center invites you to join us at Around the Table with Elders, a 6-week group nutrition workshop curriculum for older adults that upholds principles of trauma-informed
engagement and nourishment.

Elders Around the Table prioritizes:

➔ Conversation and connection
➔ Relationship between stress and nutrition
➔ Mindful movement and self-care
Objectives:
◆ Incorporate nutritious, simple, and culturally relevant foods that are suitable for age-related lifestyle and health needs.
◆ Apply personally relevant strategies that enhance their health and well-being
◆ Use self-regulation to sustain healthy lifestyle and nutrition habits
◆ Apply strategies to build and maintain community and social connection to support their health.
◆ Learn simple exercises and identify opportunities for movement that can benefit mobility, stability, and reduce discomfort
◆ Explore personal food stories, cultural histories, and wisdom traditions to feel greater meaning, relevance, and ability to apply nutrition concepts.
