On April 22, 2026, The Center joined forces with a coalition of over 40 organizations from across California to participate in the first-ever LGBTQ+ Community Center Advocacy Day in Sacramento. Community leaders lobbied legislators and demanded sustained investments in life-saving services for LGBTQ+ communities, leading to the establishment of the $10 million LGBTQ+ Community Center Fund to support LGBTQ+ organizations across California, as well as $26 million for the Gender-Affirming Care Fund to protect essential healthcare from federal overreach.
