Black Voices, Living Stories: A Community Conversation Experience
Every person carries a story worth hearing. Join The Center’s Black Services and Behavioral Health Services, in partnership with the San Diego Public Library, for an interactive evening centering Black voices, lived experiences, and meaningful conversation.
Inspired by the “living library” model, this event invites community members to step into the role of a “Living Book,” sharing first-hand stories about life, identity, and community in small-group conversations. Guests move between intimate circles where it’s easy to listen, ask questions, and talk openly.
- Listen: Hear first-hand stories about life, identity, and community.
- Ask: Small groups make it easy to ask questions and talk openly.
- Connect: Meet neighbors whose experiences may mirror or differ from yours.
Have a story to share? We’re inviting community members to serve as Living Books. If you’d like to share your lived experience in a small-group setting, sign up through the “Share Your Story” link.
