The Respect for Marriage Act will repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and require federal recognition of same-sex and interracial marriages. On November 29, the Senate approved the final version of the bill — it now requires a final vote in the House of Representatives. President Biden has committed to signing the bill into law after its final passage in the House.

This is a monumental and historic victory for the LGBTQ+ community, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! In partnership with San Diego Pride, Trans Family Support Services, and the North County LGBTQ Resource Center, The Center will be hosting a joyous event for our community in our auditorium.
