TECH ON THE GO
Tech on the Go is a partnership between the City of San Diego and the San Diego Futures Foundation that brings hands-on digital literacy classes directly into community spaces. These classes are designed to help participants build confidence using everyday technology, such as smartphones, tablets, and computers.
Participants are welcome to bring their own devices for personalized support, and laptops will also be provided during class as needed. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve your tech skills, Tech on the Go offers a welcoming environment for learners at all levels.
For August 2025, we will feature the Smartphone Basics series (covering both iPhone and Android):
- August 4: Navigating Phone and Settings
- August 11: Contacting & Blocking People
- August 18: Taking Photos
- August 25: Apps
Each session is divided into two parts:
- 4:00–5:00 PM – Instructor-led class
- 5:00–6:00 PM – Open Q&A for basic tech support
Participants who attend all four classes in a monthly series will be entered into an opportunity drawing to receive a free laptop.
