About the Presenters
Gus Hernandez (he/him) is a bilingual first generation Latino communications professional and is the Senior Director of Strategic Communications at The San Diego LGBT Community Center. He holds a bachelor of arts in Communication from Stanford University and is the immediate past president of Stanford Pride and continues to serve on their board of directors as Communications Chair. He started his LGBTQ+ nonprofit journey at the Stop AIDS Project in San Francisco in the early 2000s.
Joslyn Hatfield (she/her) is the Director of Marketing and Communications at San Diego Pride, with more than 20 years of experience and a passion for crafting good stories. She holds a bachelor of arts from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and has a decade of experience in community organizing and pride-building. She previously served as the Vice President of the Las Vegas PRIDE board directors where she was the Editor in Chief of Las Vegas PRIDE Magazine reaching 30,000 monthly readers.
