The San Diego LGBT Community Center’s Behavioral Health Services Department offers individual, couples/family, and group counseling to LGBTQ+ community members. Services cater to specific needs of our LGBTQ+ community members, including help with same-gender/genderqueer relationship violence; support for youth and adults who are victims of crime and/or hate incidents, gender affirming care for trans/nonbinary community members, and support for individuals, couples & families living with HIV/AIDS.
Fees are charged on a sliding scale basis. People living with HIV and youth and adults who are victims of crime and/or hate incidents may qualify to receive no-cost counseling services.

Individual counseling offered to assist and support individuals living with HIV/AIDS in achieving overall health and well-being, including those who are newly diagnosed as well as long-term survivors.
This group is open to survivors of relationship violence (RV) or intimate partner violence (IPV) of all genders.
This is a group for folks in same-gender & genderqueer relationships to gain and practice individual emotional regulation skills, effective and collaborative communication, and equitable equanimity techniques.
This group is for individuals who have perpetrated intimate partner violence; either court-ordered or self-referred. This is a 52-week program and the curriculum is LGBTQ-inclusive. You can start at any time.

In partnership with The San Diego LGBT Community Center, Urban Restoration Counseling Center presents “Healing Our Spiritual Selves,” a dedicated in-person group designed to support LGBTQ+ community members in recognizing and addressing the impact of religious trauma.
Individual, couples, family, and group counseling offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and nonbinary community members. Information, skills, and support are provided to assist coping with trauma, stress, coming out issues, self-esteem, relationship problems, intimacy problems, bereavement, depression, anxiety, sexual concerns, and substance use concerns.
Individual counseling offered, including gender affirming letters for trans/nonbinary community members seeking letters of medical necessity for transition purposes. Gender affirming letters are accessible for trans/nonbinary community members, regardless of enrollment in counseling.
Individual, couples, family and group counseling offered to assist and support individuals living with HIV/AIDS in achieving overall health and well-being and in navigating major life events, such as being newly diagnosed, starting lifelong treatment or deciding whether to share their diagnosis.
Individual counseling offered to youth and adult victims of crime and/or hate incidents. In addition, staff provide linkage to community supports and referrals to San Diego’s Victim/Witness Centers, as needed.
Group counseling is offered to offenders and both group and individual counseling are offered to survivors struggling with relationship violence. The Center's RVTIP is certified by the County of San Diego Probation Department and provides a 52-week group counseling intervention for voluntary as well as court-mandated individuals to receive treatment for same-gender/genderqueer relationship violence. Groups include a Men’s Group, Women’s Group, a weekly All Genders Relationship Violence Survivor’s Support Group, and a Relational Wellness Group.
