Discussion Groups

Gay Men’s Prostate Cancer Support Group

2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, June 09 and June 23, from 6:30pm – 8pm

*All meetings will take place online. Email seniors@thecentersd.org for meeting information and Zoom link. 

Whether you are currently dealing with a prostate cancer diagnosis, have just completed treatment, or are a long-term survivor, this group is here for you. Join us for support, discussion, and encouragement from folx who will understand where you’ve been and what you’re going through now. a

A group for all GBT individuals interested in knowing more about Prostate Cancer, getting assistance on fighting it, or how to prevent it.
2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 6:30pm

Activity, discussion and social group, to connect, socialize, play games, network and make friends. The group addresses relationships, sexual health, activism, community building and more.
2nd & 4th Tuesday monthly, 7-8:30pm

Shades of Color

Every Wednesday: June 03, 10, 17, and 24, 12:00pm (noon) – 1:30pm

An empowerment group for men of color living with HIV, Shades of Color covers a variety of topics, including healthy relationships, self-esteem, living with HIV, spiritual awareness, community mobilizing and more. Everyone is welcome to The Center on the first Wednesday evening of each month for Games and Grub! The popular board game and social night, presented by Men @ The Center, includes pizza, snacks, beer, wine, soft drinks, and hundreds of board games to choose from. Participants are welcome to come alone and meet new friends, or come with a group for a fun evening out. The popular Team Trivia game begins at 6:30 pm and everyone is welcome to drop in. Men’s Coming Out Discussion Group

1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, June 04 and June 18, from 7:15pm – 8:45pm

This group provides a space for straight, gay, bi, trans, and questioning men of all ages to share their experiences with any stage of the life-long coming out and being out process. We provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place to meet others who may be going through a similar transition, or who have already come out. 

Discussion group for adult young (MSM) who are living with HIV and between the ages of 20 & 30. The group shares experiences, challenges, doubts and opinions on various topics that are the concerns of the group. All of this discussion will be had in a confidential & judgment free environment. Group is Bilingual.

Bi-Pan-Fluid Discussion Group (this group is open to all)

Third Wednesday of every month: June 17, 7:00pm – 8:00pm

The Bi-Pan-Fluid discussion group is open to all sexes and genders, and is a safe place to explore and discuss what is happening in your life. Our experiences are unique but similar, and this group is a safe and inclusive place for us to come together to support each other, and to talk about our feelings, our identities, and our relationships.
