I’m Alisandra Del Nero (she/her), Senior Services Case Manager at The Center, and I’m excited to announce that our next Red Hot Dance for queer women and femmes 21+ is on Saturday, August 22, from 6–9pm at The Center!
As summer begins to heat up, we want to celebrate everything this season brings: long evenings, warm sunsets, and the joy of being with each other. In a time when our community, especially trans and nonbinary people, continue to face growing challenges, gathering in joy remains a powerful act of resistance. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us for our Red Hot Summer Dance on August 22, where we’ll transform The Center into a beachside at sunset, with laid-back summer vibes.
Our biannual Red Hot Dance celebrates joy, connection, and community across every corner of our queer women’s community. This includes those who identify as lesbians, transgender women, cisgender women, nonbinary folks, womxn, womyn, queer women, dykes, bisexual women, femme-identifying folks, pansexual women, or any combination within our vibrant queer spectrum. If this space feels like it’s for you, it is!
We’re thrilled to welcome DJ Laura Jane back to keep the dance floor moving with everything from 80s favorites to today’s hits. We’ll also provide free appetizers and drinks, primarily from women-owned businesses, along with a quiet sensory space where you can relax and recharge if you need a break from the music.
Our Women’s Services at The Center remains deeply committed to creating opportunities to uplift queer women. Through support groups, resources, or events like this one, we foster belonging and joy.
Join us on Saturday, August 22, from 6–9pm in The Center’s Auditorium. There is a suggested $10 donation at the door, but everyone is welcome regardless of ability to pay. Please RSVP on our website.
Come dance, connect with old and new friends, soak in the beach sunset atmosphere, and help us close the summer with an unforgettable evening of music, community, and celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!
In community,
Alisandra Del Nero (she/her)
